2019 QB Ta’Quan Roberson, DePaul (Wayne, N.J.)
DePaul‘s Ta’Quan Roberson became the first class of 2019 quarterback from New Jersey to earn a Rutgers offer, when he visited the school Thursday, accompanied by his father.
“I went up for a visit,” Roberson told NJ.com. “They invited me Monday to come this morning. And today when I went in, I went on a tour of the campus. I talked to most of the staff members, most of the coaches. And then I had like a little meeting with coach (Jerry) Kill in his office.
“And he was telling me how they looked at my film and he said he wanted to offer me. He said I was an amazing quarterback.”
Roberson accumulated 1,174 passing yards and nine TDs (seven INTs) on 87-of-172 passes (51%), to go along with 365 rushing yards and two additional scores on 70 carries in 2016.
